School Closings and Class Cancellations

In the event of an emergency, weather or non-weather-related, Touro has a School Closing Committee comprised of senior staff that is authorized to determine whether Touro buildings will be open or closed.

Once a decision has been made for an unscheduled closing of a Touro NY location, students will be notified via TUAlert, the University's emergency notification system.

 Closing information for the New York campuses will also be available on the main Touro website, http://touro.edu. Students may also receive email notification via their Touro email from their dean's office or program leadership. Additionally, signage may be posted on the doors of the affected building(s) advising students of the closing and, if appropriate, where to get additional information.
